Update : Follow-up on the news : LA HABRA : Group Appeals Denial of Nude Club Permit
A business partnership that was denied permission by the Planning Commission to open a nude juice bar has appealed the decision to the City Council.
After a 3 1/2-hour public hearing this month that drew scores of residents who spoke against the establishment, the Planning Commission turned down the proposal for the Pelican Theater, which would feature nude dancing and serve nonalcoholic beverages.
The City Council will review the decision at its Oct. 12 meeting.
