Transportation includes, vehicles, gasoline, insurance, maintenance and public transportation. Taxes include just federal and state income taxes. Social Security tax-life insurance also includes Medicare contributions. Savings includes contributions into retirement savings plans such as IRAs and 401(k)s. Other includes books, education, tobacco, charitable contributions, personal care products and other miscellaneous spending.
