Manor Care Inc.: The Maryland-based operator of health-care facilities has acquired six retirement facilities and five nursing centers from Beverly Enterprises, including a nursing facility in Laguna Hills. In acquiring the 11 centers, Manor Care agreed to pay $21.5 million in cash and assume $52.8 million in debt.
