* The Ventura County Public Works Agency has awarded contracts to the following companies:
Merco Construction Engineers of Camarillo, $496,000 for installing a settling tank and other facilities at the Moorpark Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Bennett Construction Co. of Fillmore, $270,000 for removing and disposing of debris from the Warring Debris Basin in Piru.
Brooks Construction Co. of Camarillo, $140,000 for installing an elevator and remodeling restrooms at county offices on Santa Clara Street in Ventura.
