Countywide : Orangewood Seeks Funds for Playground
Orangewood Children’s Home for abused and neglected children wants to build a playground for its preschool-age kids, and the public is being invited to help out.
A fund-raiser will take place today at the Discovery Zone, an indoor playground for children in Fullerton. A portion of proceeds from admissions to the Discovery Zone between 5 and 9 p.m. will be donated to Orangewood.
The event is the first of many activities that will take place to benefit the preschoolers’ playground. Orangewood hopes to raise $85,000 for this and other projects.
Orangewood officials said they hope to build a play area complete with a crawl tunnel, curved slide and education panels.
The Discovery Zone is at 137 Orange Fair Mall in Fullerton. Admission is $6.49 for children and $10 for adults.
