Share

A South Los Angeles man was sentenced to 45 days in jail Wednesday after he pleaded no contest to committing worker’s compensation fraud.

Rahman Abdulla Muhammad, 42, of Exposition Park, admitted altering a document prepared by a doctor who had cleared him to return to his job, said Deputy City Atty. P. Greg Parham.

Muhammad entered his plea to one violation of a state insurance code section that makes it a misdemeanor to knowingly make a false or fraudulent statement or representation for the purpose of obtaining any worker’s compensation benefit.
