New Jazz Club Makes Valley Debut Tonight

New York West, a new restaurant-jazz club at 19540 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, celebrates its grand opening tonight with appearances by Steve Wilkerson and Ray Stevens at 9 p.m. and a special late set from trumpeter Jack Sheldon at 11:30 p.m.
The club will offer music every Thursday through Sunday with such artists as Brazilian guitarist Dori Amarilio, bassist John Heard and singer Cathy Segal-Garcia scheduled for the near future.
