Committee to Tour Emergency Center

The Ventura County Community Awareness and Emergency Response committee is scheduled to meet Thursday at 9 a.m. to discuss state recommended emergency procedures and tour the Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services’ new Emergency Operations Center.
The committee, representatives from a group of companies working with hazardous chemicals and emergency response organizations, plans to open the meeting and tour to five community members.
The meeting will be held at the Emergency Operations Center, located in the county’s Pretrial Detention Center at 800 S. Victoria Ave.
Community members interested in attending should contact Jay Bayman, program administrator for the Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services, at 654-2551.
