GARDEN GROVE : Arson Destroys 2 Cars at Auto Repair Shop
A fire was intentionally set in a car at an auto repair shop early Tuesday, destroying it and a second car, police said.
The fire began inside a 1989 Toyota Supra about 4 a.m., gutting it. The flames spread to two other cars on the lot, destroying one and causing about $2,000 in damage to the other, Fire Capt. Bill Dumas said. A wooden fence surrounding the business also caught fire, causing about $20,000 in damage.
“There was a lot of potential for the fire to spread to a nearby abandoned motel,” Dumas said.
Officials said they had no suspects or witnesses in the arson. They request that anyone with information call the Fire Department at (714) 741-5600.
