Utility Apologizes: Southern California Edison has apologized for compiling “inappropriate and inaccurate personal information” on individuals who are part of a consortium of Southern California cities looking at ways to circumvent the utility in buying electricity. In response to a story in the Daily Breeze, the utility confirmed that internal documents had been compiled by an overzealous “lower-level staff” person, but said such information was “of no interest to Edison and should not have been part of any Edison discussions or documents.” Company Chairman John Bryson also issued an apology personally in a letter to Culver City Council Member Albert Vera, a member of the consortium.
