South Bay : MOMS’ CLUB
Staying home all day taking care of the kids can become lonely and frustrating. But now, South Bay women can turn to the newest chapter of the MOMS club to fill that void.
The national nonprofit organization, which stands for Moms Offering Moms Support, provides an outlet for full-time mothers. More than 30 mothers attended the first meeting held in Redondo Beach earlier this week. The mothers planned field trips at the beach, co-op play groups for their children and a MOMS night out.
“The response was great,” said Laura, of Redondo Beach, who started the South Bay chapter. “We even talked about forming a sister group for the moms from San Pedro and Rancho Palo Verdes.”
Formed 13 years ago in Simi Valley, the MOMS Club now has more than 200 chapters in 30 states. The next meeting of the South Bay MOMS club will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 15 at the David K. Hayward Center, 2000 Artesia Blvd., Redondo Beach.
