SANTA PAULA : City Plans to Build Right-Turn Lane

Share

In an effort to decrease traffic congestion at the corner of Peck Road and Harvard Boulevard, the Santa Paula City Council on Monday is scheduled to vote to build a right-turn lane.

The project calls for the city to pay $29,000 for a 3,458-square-foot property that would allow for widening the road and building the right-turn lane, said Norm Wilkinson, the city’s director of public works.

The right-turn lane would be built at the southeast corner of Peck and Harvard. It would allow motorists heading north on Peck to make a right turn onto Harvard without causing traffic congestions, Wilkinson said, adding that construction is scheduled to begin within the next two weeks.
