Community College Trustee Application Deadline Is Monday
Next Monday is the deadline for applications to fill a vacancy on the North Orange County Community College Board of Trustees.
The board will appoint a successor to Nilane A. Lee, who resigned last month citing health problems. Candidates must live in Trustee Area 4, which covers the Fullerton elementary and high school, Centralia and Buena Park school district boundaries, district spokeswoman Donna Hatchett said.
Lee was president of the board when she stepped down. Trustee Cynthia Coad, vice president, is holding both positions until new officers are chosen on Dec. 12.
Candidates’ letters should be addressed to Chancellor Tom K. Harris, 1000 N. Lemon St., Fullerton, CA 92632. Applicants will be interviewed at a public session Nov. 21.
Each trustee receives a $750 monthly stipend and is eligible for the district’s group health insurance benefits.
