COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : UCLA : Rose Is Out of the Question, but a Bowl Trip Is Possible

Share

Already eliminated from the Rose Bowl race, the Bruins, 6-3 overall and 3-3 in Pacific 10, still have a slim shot at the Cotton Bowl if they win both of their remaining games. But the Sun Bowl, Aloha Bowl or Independence Bowl appear more realistic.

At least one more victory appears crucial to UCLA’s chances of being invited anywhere. The Bruins have games left against Washington on Saturday at the Rose Bowl and USC Nov. 18 at the Coliseum.

Saturday’s game at the Rose Bowl will not be televised because Washington was permitted only four telecasts this year because of NCAA sanctions. The Huskies have already used their allotment. UCLA’s season finale against USC will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will be on ABC.
