From Associated Press

The Florida Panthers, who are enjoying unprecedented success on the ice but claim to be losing $1 million a month, were put up for sale Tuesday by owner H. Wayne Huizenga.

“We can’t wait any longer here,” said Jim Blosser, an aide to Huizenga.

Blosser said Huizenga would prefer to sell the third-year club to someone who would keep it in South Florida, but it’s also possible groups in Nashville and Charlotte could step in.

Hours after the announcement, rookie Radek Dvorak scored two goals as the Panthers rallied for a 4-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers at Miami Arena. The Panthers, off to a franchise-best 10-4-0 start, lead the NHL with 22 points. Dvorak has six goals, all in his last four games.
