To Err Is Human, but to Admit It Is Better
Allan Malamud’s selective memory is annoying. First he picked the Reds to beat the Braves in the National League championship series. Then he predicted the Indians would win the World Series. Never once did he acknowledge either of these failed choices. Now he’s patting himself on the back because last year he chose Kerry Collins to win the Heisman. It seems to me that Malamud is seeking glory, yet unwilling to concede to poor prognosis.
