Dodgers Should Have Given Dempsey a Look

Share

I was saddened to read that the Dodgers’ brain trust has struck again. By allowing Rick Dempsey to get away, they have lost someone who has proven himself as a class player (World Series MVP) and manager (one Pacific Coast League title in two years). The spirit and love of the game that Dempsey brings to the sport is something the Dodgers are greatly lacking.

I know baseball is not so much of a game as it is a hard, cold business, but releasing Dempsey and not considering him as the next Dodger manager is, Mr. Claire, very poor business.
