HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Hoover Passes Glendale in Final Seconds

Welsev Maltez completed a 17-yard touchdown pass to Mark Riggio with 10 seconds remaining and Emre Ozgur rushed for the two-point conversion to give Hoover a 15-14 victory over archrival Glendale in a Pacific League game Friday night at Glendale.
Hoover’s Frank Maltez intercepted a Jeremy Callister pass for the second time to end the game.
Hoover (4-4-2, 1-3-1 in league play) snapped a five-game losing streak against Glendale (3-6-1, 1-4).
Welsev Maltez completed six of nine passes for 71 yards on the game-winning drive. Maltez completed nine of 16 passes for 107 yards in the game.
Ozgur rushed for 75 yards in 18 carries to lead Hoover. Jason Klint-worth rushed for 93 yards in 20 carries for Glendale.
