SEAL BEACH — Two Long Beach teen-agers were arrested on suspicion of robbery Thursday for the theft a day earlier of skateboards from two Seal Beach youths, police said.
One of the Long Beach teen-agers, a 14-year-old, also was charged with assault with a deadly weapon for stabbing one of the victims with a pen in the forehead and the neck, police said.
The two 15-year-old Seal Beach youths had been skateboarding in the 700 block of Electric Avenue about 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday when the two Long Beach teen-agers demanded their skateboards, police said.
When the youths refused, the 14-year-old from Long Beach plunged a pen into the forehead and neck of one of the teens, police said. The youth received stitches on the forehead, police said.
The Long Beach teen-agers were arrested Thursday after a patrol officer recognized them after stopping them on another matter, police said. The skateboards were found in the teen-agers’ possession, police said.
After being charged, the Long Beach youths were released to the custody of their parents, police said.
