OXNARD : Pair of Armed Men Rob Bank Branch
Two men pointed semiautomatic handguns at tellers and customers and robbed an Oxnard branch of First Interstate Bank on Friday morning, the FBI said.
“They came into the bank and one jumped the teller windows and the other stayed in the lobby,” said Gary Auer, supervising FBI agent for Ventura County.
The man who entered the teller area took an undisclosed amount of money from two tellers. No one was injured.
The pair, who wore blue hooded sweat shirts and bandannas over their faces, then fled on foot down an alley behind the bank at 1830 S. Victoria Ave., Auer said.
Friday’s bank robbery was the 40th in Ventura County so far this year, he said.
