THOUSAND OAKS : Man Gets 3 Years for Rape of Teen
A judge Friday sentenced a Thousand Oaks man to three years in prison for raping a teen-age girl earlier this year.
Homero Martinez pleaded guilty last month to a single count of rape, and prosecutors dropped eight lesser charges in exchange for the plea.
Martinez, 20, was arrested along with Mainor Augusto Zapeta, 26, in August after two girls--ages 12 and 13--told police they were sexually assaulted.
Zapeta pleaded not guilty to one charge of oral copulation with a female under the age of 14. He is scheduled to stand trial in January.
