COLLEGE BASKETBALL / PRESEASON NIT : Dickerson Helps Arizona Quiet Arkansas, 83-73
Michael Dickerson had a hand in seven consecutive points and made a crowd-quieting three-point shot as Arizona defeated 16th-ranked Arkansas, 83-73, Friday night at Fayetteville, Ark., to reach the semifinals of the Preseason NIT.
The Razorbacks (1-1) missed 29 of their first 37 shots. Dickerson had 19 points for Arizona (2-0), which will play Michigan on Wednesday in New York.
No. 17 Michigan 80, Weber State 62--Freshman Louis Bullock led a balanced attack with 14 points as the Wolverines (2-0) breezed at Ann Arbor. Justyn Tebbs had 17 points for the Wildcats (1-1).
Georgia Tech 83, Oklahoma 72--Drew Barry made four free throws in the final 40 seconds and freshman Stephon Marbury made a basket moments earlier as the Yellow Jackets (2-0) withstood an Oklahoma comeback from a 17-point deficit at Atlanta.
