Who’s More Likely to Avoid the Rush
Men are more likely than women to put off their holiday shopping until one week before Christmas, a survey found.
One thousand shoppers at the Mall of America in Minneapolis were asked about their shopping habits. Researches found that 31% of men said they’d probably wait until seven days before Christmas to do any holiday shopping. Among women, the figure was only 9%, mall spokeswoman Teresa McFarland said.
As for spouses shopping for each other, the survey found that nearly 31% of husbands say they find their wives the hardest person to shop for. Only 18% of wives said the same about their husbands.
