ORANGE COUNTY ALMANAC : Milk, Coffee Before the Berries
Before Knott’s Berry Farm put Buena Park on the map, the Pacific Condensed Milk, Coffee and Canning Co., founded in 1889, was the city’s claim to fame.
One of the first industrial plants in the Santa Ana River valley, the company employed about 25 and shipped cans of condensed milk to markets as far away as China. It closed in 1907.
