COLLEGE FOOTBALL : Prognosis for TCU Back Uncertain
Texas Christian running back Matt Moore remained hospitalized in serious condition Saturday with a neck injury, while his teammates dedicated their game to him.
Moore had “initial paralysis” from the chest down after colliding with a teammate during practice Friday, said school spokesman Glen Stone. Some paralysis still was evident Saturday, but the prognosis was uncertain, he said.
The sophomore suffered a dislocated vertebra, according to trainer Ross Bailey. TCU issued a statement saying the dislocation was put back into place under general anesthesia without surgery. Surgery is expected this week. Moore is breathing and swallowing on his own.
