Deed Reaffirms Faith

Share

* My husband and I just moved to Los Angeles from a rural town in Virginia so that my husband could finish his college degree. California certainly has provided us with more than our fair share of culture shock, to say the least. We weren’t quite sure that we could handle all of the hustle and slightly higher crime rates and such.

Well, a few weeks ago my husband was carjacked in our brand-new car and about a week later my purse was stolen from me. I thought this was surely the ticket back home for us. However, a few days ago, an anonymous letter arrived at my house with a note and my identification card from someone that found it on the street. I was so surprised and grateful.

It’s good to know that when you’re down and feeling like you want to quit, there are still good people out there that will do a good deed every now and again. I thought for sure that the art of good deeds was a lost one. I am glad for the reaffirmed belief in humanity.
