Weekend TV : First-Run Shows Among All the Reruns

Just because the networks are running repeats of some of your favorite series doesn’t mean there won’t be a bevy of first-run shows to enjoy this weekend.

Tickle your funny bone with the new “Robert Klein: It All Started Here,” starring the comedian who headlined HBO’s first comedy special in 1975, tonight at 10 on HBO.

If you like oddities, check out “Extremely Weird,” hosted by Jay Thomas on Sunday at 7 p.m. on NBC (Channels 4 and 36).

The Discovery Channel takes a jaunt to outer space in “On Jupiter,” narrated by John Hurt, which examines the latest discoveries about the planet, Sunday at 9 p.m.

Fox offers “What’s So Funny?,” a new series featuring the week’s comic developments in entertainment, news and sports, Sunday, at 9:30 p.m. on Channel 11.

Three new movies premiere Sunday: “Daisies in December,” starring Jean Simmons and Joss Ackland, 8 p.m. on Showtime; “The Haunting of Helen Walker,” a period piece starring Valerie Bertinelli and Diana Rigg, 9 p.m. on CBS (Channel 2); and “Shadow of a Doubt,” starring Brian Dennehy and Fairuza Balk, 9 p.m. on NBC.
