Huntington Market Robber Takes Cash
A market was robbed at gunpoint of an undisclosed amount of cash by a man in shorts and a green jacket who fled on foot, police said.
The holdup at the Huntington Market, in the 8400 block of Edinger Avenue, occurred about 8:30 p.m. Thursday when a man walked into the store and pulled a blue-steel, semiautomatic pistol out of his jacket.
He is described as black, 6-foot-2, about 25 years old, with a medium build. He threatened to shoot a clerk behind the counter and another employee who was stacking shelves if they did not let him empty the cash register, police said.
No one was injured. The man took cash from the register and left.
