Mayor Fox Elected SCAG Representative
Thousand Oaks Mayor Andy Fox has been elected to represent five area cities before the Southern California Assn. of Governments.
Officials from the association’s 46th District met Tuesday night to pick a representative.
The two candidates were Fox and Moorpark Mayor Pro Tem Bernardo Perez. The district includes Agoura Hills, Simi Valley, Westlake Village, Moorpark and Thousand Oaks.
“It’s a lot of responsibility,” Fox said.
Fox will meet monthly with other representatives from around Southern California to discuss policy issues, fiscal management and state and federal funding to cities.
