Despite five concussions in 15 months, Chris Miller isn’t thinking about getting out of football.

The St. Louis Rams on Wednesday ruled out their quarterback for Sunday’s game against Buffalo, but Miller said his condition wasn’t that serious.

“I know a lot of you would probably like this to be a retirement statement or something, but it’s definitely not that,” Miller said.

Miller, who hopes to play again this season, was knocked unconscious by a helmet-on-helmet blow from New York Jet defensive end Marvin Washington in Sunday’s game.

Mark Rypien will start against the Bills.

Unable to coax Steve Jordan out of retirement, the Minnesota Vikings will take a look today at another of their former tight end, Mike Tice, in an attempt to bolster a position depleted by injuries. . . . Philadelphia Eagle running back Charlie Garner had the cast removed from his broken right thumb but is still listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
