WOMEN’S BASKETBALL : Thompson’s 28 Points Lead USC

Tina Thompson scored a season-high 28 points as USC routed Boise State, 76-54, Sunday.
The Trojans (3-2) trailed, 37-30, at halftime before outscoring the Broncos, 46-17, in the second half.
Adrain Williams and Erica Jackson each scored 12 points for USC.
Michelle Schultz had 25 points for Boise State (3-2).
Tennessee 83, Texas 67--Chamique Holdsclaw, a freshman in high school the last time the Volunteers lost in Knoxville, led No. 2 Tennessee to its 68th consecutive home-court victory, tying the NCAA record.
Holdsclaw had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Volunteers (8-0).
The streak ties the record set by Auburn (1986-1991). Tennessee has not lost at home since Jan. 28, 1991.
