WEEKEND TV : ‘Scrooge’ Heads Lineup of Holiday Specials

Past, present and future come to an eerie meeting when KNBC-TV Channel 4 airs “Scrooge” today at 3 p.m. The 1951 colorized film is based on Charles Dickens’ 1843 classic novel “A Christmas Carol,” and stars Alistair Sim.
Other holiday offerings include “The Statler Bros. Christmas Show,” today at 6 and 9 p.m. on cable’s Nashville Network; the new animated “Red Boots for Christmas,” Sunday at 11:30 a.m. on CBS; the symphonic “Holiday at Pops,” Sunday at 5 and 9 p.m. on Arts & Entertainment; and the comedic offering “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” Sunday at 9 p.m. on NBC.
