Reuters
HIALEAH, Fla. —
Police and social workers were searching Wednesday for the young mother of a newborn baby boy who was found in a box on a suburban Miami porch.
Social workers said the baby was about 12 hours old and in good condition when found Tuesday, wrapped in blankets in an unmarked shipping carton.
In the box with the 7-pound, 9-ounce baby was a note written in Spanish by his mother, who said she was barely 13.
