. . . Fullerton city planners rejected a proposal by the Sikh Society of Southern California to convert a two-story home, built in 1915, into a temple.
A petition in opposition to the proposal was signed by 374 residents. Planning commissioners decided that conversion of the house would be detrimental to its “historic setting.”
