Dear Coach Barnett: There is another fine university in Los Angeles, a private one where the current coach is getting along in years, has NCAA sanctions on his resume and a record of underachieving, considering the talented athletes he persuades to play for him.
As an alumnus of USC, I hope that when and if the head football coaching position opens up here, you will again consider a move to L.A.
