When Gary Plummer looks at the Green Bay Packer offense, he sees the San Francisco 49ers.

“It’s amazing,” said the 49er linebacker, who with his teammates will be trying to stop the Packers’ version of the 49ers’ offensive system in today’s playoff game (1 p.m., Channel 11). “It’s like looking into a mirror. They’re doing all the same things.”

Green Bay (12-5) has run the pass-oriented system since 1992, when former 49er offensive coordinator Mike Holmgren was hired as the Packers’ coach.

San Francisco defensive coordinator Pete Carroll, whose players practiced against the 49er offense daily during training camp, said it is the most challenging offense to defend.

“It’s been proven that this is the most productive offense of all time and they have reached their highest level in Mike’s four years of efficiency and big plays,” Carroll said.
