And Sniping Continues in the Bruin-Bruin War

Share

One of the many sufferings UCLA Athletic Director Peter Dalis has visited upon Bruin fans is that conference basketball games away are rarely shown on TV in Los Angeles, something that was automatic before he became AD. Worse than that, Bruin fans cannot even hear any games on radio unless they live in San Diego.

One would think that since the Bruins are defending national champions in basketball, TV stations and cable channels would be falling all over themselves to broadcast their games. Apparently Dalis doesn’t know how to market them.

The excitement created by the great search for a football genius to lead UCLA back to the top sure did fizzle.

I cannot believe there is not one successful head coach in the entire United States who is not interested in coming to UCLA. The next time the Bruins have a major coaching vacancy, they should just drop the sport until Peter Dalis retires.

Watching him bungle these searches is like watching an elephant climb a tree.

The letters last week had Bob Toledo dead in the water before he had a chance to start anything. UCLA fans should remember that it was Bob Toledo, unchained, who designed and implemented the offensive scheme that had the Trojans going in circles.
