Man to Stand Trial in Solicitation Case

An Oxnard man charged with trying to rent a 3-year-old girl for sex was ordered Thursday to stand trial on felony charges of pandering and solicitation.
Marc Charles Leege, 38, pleaded not guilty in December.
His trial is scheduled for Feb. 26.
Bail was set at $250,000.
Ventura police arrested Leege last month in a hotel room as he bargained with an undercover detective for the use of her fictional 3-year-old daughter, prosecutors said.
Police said they were led to Leege by a prostitute who claimed the man approached her about buying her own daughter for sex.
Investigators said Leege offered the undercover officer, who posed as a drug addict, $1,000 to have sex with the child.
If convicted, Leege faces a maximum term of 12 years in prison, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Mark Pachowicz.
