The King is back--again.
Tonight, Ventura County’s best-known Elvis impersonator will take the stage at Cal Lutheran University’s Eighth Triumphant Return of Elvis, singing “Love Me Tender,” “All Shook Up” and “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” among other favorites.
Raymond Michael Hebel, a 1975 CLU graduate and Moorpark resident, will star as the king of rock ‘n’ roll for the annual fund-raiser. The proceeds will go toward scholarships and equipment for the performing arts at CLU.
Hebel has taken his show on the road throughout the United States, performing at every Six Flags amusement park in the nation and casinos in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and Reno. He has also made numerous television appearances on network shows and MTV.
Television personality Dick Clark once dubbed Hebel, whose costumes are made by the rock legend’s original designer, the best Elvis impersonator in the world.
Hebel will take the auditorium stage at 8 p.m. Tickets--$10 for adults and $5 for children--can be purchased in advance by calling (805) 493-3170. Tickets purchased at the door are $16.
