Ducks Unload Dirk to Montreal
The Mighty Ducks made their first trade of the season Sunday, acquiring minor-league center Jim Campbell from Montreal for defenseman Robert Dirk. Dirk became expendable after the Ducks picked up defenseman Fredrik Olausson on waivers from Edmonton on Tuesday.
Campbell, 22, will be assigned to the Ducks’ minor-league affiliate in Baltimore. He had 28 goals and 51 points in 44 games with Montreal’s minor-league team.
