Buena Park Man Held in String of Burglaries
A 22-year-old Buena Park man has been charged with a string of home burglaries where the intruder pocketed jewelry, woman’s lingerie and other items, Anaheim police said Tuesday.
Fernando Gutierrez was arrested Jan. 16 on suspicion of five felony burglary counts, Anaheim Police Lt. Ted Labahn said. Gutierrez also is a suspect in three other burglaries, he said.
Investigators allege that Gutierrez, who was booked under the alias Juan Manuel Falcon Contraeras, broke into homes, many in the area near La Palma Avenue and Euclid Street, beginning in November, Labahn said.
Gutierrez was arrested after two burglaries were reported at homes a block apart. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 31 at Municipal Court in Fullerton.
