15,370 Infant Car Seats Recalled: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the rear-facing Dreamride Ultra infant seats tipped toward the front of the car by more than 70 degrees in government crash tests. Federal safety standards require that rear-facing seats stay close to upright during impact in a crash at 30 mph. The recall is for model 02-179, manufactured from April 8, 1994, through June 15, 1995. A spokeswoman for manufacturer Cosco Inc. said the Columbus, Ind., company had no immediate comment. The NHTSA urged parents with the seat to contact Cosco to receive a reinforcement kit but said that until parents get that, they should continue using the Cosco model.
