Maxwell Gets 90 Days in Jail

Philadelphia 76er guard Vernon Maxwell was sentenced Monday to 90 days in jail in Houston after failing to meet court orders on a marijuana possession charge.
After sentencing, Maxwell’s attorney, Jim Cooper, moved quickly to file an appeal and Maxwell was released after his bond of $20,000 was paid.
Maxwell was not with the 76ers for Monday night’s game because his plane was late.
