In another Pacific Coast League game:

Aliso Niguel 71, Costa Mesa 42--Jeff Munsell scored nine of his 21 points in the third quarter, when host Aliso Niguel (11-10, 3-3) outscored Costa Mesa, 15-6. Josh Weeks scored 17 points for Costa Mesa (2-4).

In the Academy League:

St. Margaret’s 67, St. Michael’s Prep 34--Todd Shriber had 18 points and nine rebounds for host St. Margaret’s (7-11, 5-2), which led, 30-13, at halftime. Rob Miltner added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Tartans.

In the Century League:

Canyon 59, Santa Ana Valley 57--Canyon trailed the entire second half before Ryan Walker tied it with 20 seconds left and Will Byrd, who had 19 points, won the game on a layup with two seconds remaining.

The 10th-ranked Falcons, playing without three starters, led by five after three quarters. But Canyon (17-6, 3-4) cut the lead to one with 40 seconds remaining on a three-pointer by Walker, who scored 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Ike Harmon scored 20 points for Santa Ana Valley (13-9, 6-1), which played without Olujimi Mann, Jason Parrot and Tim Werdel, who sat out for disciplinary reasons, Santa Ana Valley Coach Kevin Stipp said.

Villa Park 57, Orange 45--Isaiah Cavaco had 12 points and seven steals and Eric Chenowith added 11 points and eight rebounds before fouling out for Villa Park (17-4, 6-1), which moved into a first-place tie with Santa Ana Valley.

El Modena 64, Foothill 47--George Gurrola scored 18 points for host El Modena (10-12, 2-5), which led by 23 at the half.

In the Empire League:

Century 60, Loara 55--Century trailed by three after three quarters, but outscored Loara, 25-17, in the fourth quarter. Hector Beltran scored 24 points for Century (14-8, 5-2), which made 14 of 23 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Mark Moses scored 18 points for host Loara (9-13, 0-7).

Cypress 48, El Dorado 42--Chad Boberg scored 16 points for ninth-ranked Cypress (18-4, 6-1), which led by four points with 50 seconds remaining before Wes Bunn made a layup and a free throw to help put the game away.

Ryan Tenpas scored 19 points for host El Dorado (12-11, 3-4).

Kennedy 74, Katella 62--Kevin Reece scored 17 points for host Kennedy (7-16, 3-4), which trailed, 56-46, after three quarters before outscoring Katella, 28-6, in the fourth quarter. Jacob Kunz scored eight of his 14 points and Richie Bowen scored seven of his 14 points in the final quarter for Kennedy.

Jacy Armbruster scored 14 of his 29 points in the third quarter to help Katella (16-5, 4-3) outscore Kennedy, 27-10.

In the Freeway League:

Troy 72, Sunny Hills 64--David Sun scored 23 points for Troy (14-9, 5-2). Sean Granillo scored 23 points for Sunny Hills (8-15, 1-6), which trailed by one after three quarters.

In the Golden West League:

Servite 65, Santa Ana 25--Steve Hogan scored 14 points for host Servite (11-11, 3-4), which outscored Santa Ana, 22-2, to begin the game.

Santa Ana is 12-9, 3-4.

Tustin 66, Ocean View 52--Second-ranked Tustin rallied from a three-point halftime deficit by outscoring the host Seahawks, 43-26, in the second half. David Lalazarian scored 26 points and Robert Griffin had 25 for the Tillers (20-3, 7-0).

Mike Seguin scored 25 for Ocean View (10-14, 3-4).

In the Orange League:

Brea Olinda 86, Anaheim 49--Sean Wink scored 18 points and for host Brea (21-2, 7-0), ranked sixth in the county. Isaac Camarillo scored 24 points for Anaheim (5-16, 2-5).

Magnolia 70, Western 56--Ahmed Shurdim scored 20 points and Vahana Singbandith had 18 for the Sentinels (11-12, 4-3). Ryan Herrington scored a game-high 24 for Western (7-16, 2-5).

Valencia 66, Savanna 50--Smith scored 13 points for the second-place Tigers (13-9, 5-2).
