Tom Hanks, who has won the best actor Oscar the last two years and has a chance to be nominated again this year for “Apollo 13,” on Thursday became the first presenter named for the 68th Academy Awards, taking place March 25. . . . Magic Johnson will discuss his return to the Los Angeles Lakers next Thursday when he guests on NBC’s “Tonight Show With Jay Leno.” . . . Fox is bringing back its action-adventure series “Sliders” on Friday nights from 8 to 9, starting March 1. The series will replace “Strange Luck,” which remains a contender for renewal next season. . . . Former “Honeymooners” star Audrey Meadows is terminally ill with cancer at an undisclosed hospital, her sister Jayne Meadows told Variety columnist Army Archerd. Audrey had concealed her illness from family and friends for more than a year, Jayne Meadows said.
