Workshop Targets Asthma Sufferers
The Family Health Care Medical Group is sponsoring free six-hour workshops designed to help asthma sufferers control their allergic reactions.
The classes are sponsored by Simi Valley Hospital, Health Care Services and Health Net.
A registered respiratory therapist will teach self-relaxation techniques, identifying the conditions and elements that trigger asthmatic attacks and how to monitor them. The therapist will also review the types of medication available to asthma sufferers.
The classes, scheduled for Wednesday and Feb. 21, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Family Health Care Medical Group’s education suite at 2951 N. Sycamore Drive, Suite 30, Simi Valley.
