Pop Across the Pond: The long-rumored Sex Pistols reunion is set for June 3 in London’s Finsbury Park district, where lead singer John (Johnny Rotten) Lydon grew up--at least that’s what England’s Melody Maker is reporting. According to the pop weekly, Mean Fiddler, a major London concert promotion firm, says that the seminal punk band’s four original members have agreed to do the show, marking its 20th anniversary. However, a spokesman for Lydon’s L.A.-based manager, Eric Gardner, says the group has still made no commitment to any reunion. . . . In other British-rock icon news, “The Beatles Anthology Volume 2,” the second of three two-CD archival sets, will be released on March 19. The 45 tracks include previously unreleased outtakes, alternate versions and unheard songs recorded between February 1965 and February 1968.
