Dole Food Co. said it earned $5.28 million, or 9 cents a share, contrasted with a year-ago loss of $2.60 million, or 4 cents. . . . San Diego-based Foodmaker Inc., operator and franchiser of the Jack in the Box restaurant chain, reported net earnings of $4.7 million, or 12 cents a share for its first quarter of fiscal 1996, contrasted with a loss of $7.1 million, or 18 cents a share a year ago.
