Calling it “just too controversial,” KTLA-TV Channel 5 has joined several other Los Angeles stations opting not to run a paid advertisement for O.J. Simpson’s video. . . . “Late Show” host David Letterman will sit for a rare two-part, in-depth interview on CNBC’s “Al Roker,” this Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m. Among other topics, Letterman addresses “Late Shift,” HBO’s upcoming movie about the late-night talk-show battles, calling the movie “a horribly wasted, futile attempt.” . . . Former “WKRP in Cincinnati” star Loni Anderson will guest star on Fox’s “Melrose Place” for three episodes, beginning April 1.
