World IN BRIEF : BAHRAIN : Bombing at Luxury Hotel Injures 4
From Times Wire Reports
A bomb exploded in the lobby of a luxury seafront hotel in Bahrain, injuring at least four people. There were conflicting reports about whether a militant Islamic group was responsible. The blast in the capital, Manama, followed weeks of anti-government unrest in the Persian Gulf island state, a financial hub in the region and host to a U.S. Navy base. Security sources said the bomb was placed in the lobby, between the reception desk and the elevators. A Pentagon spokesman had no reports of American casualties.
